Hearty Chili

Yesterday when the snow was coming down, I got a call from 007 wanting to know if I would make chili for dinner. Sure but I needed some things from the store so he obliged. Everyone gets frustrated with me because when asked what I put in it and I shrug my shoulders I mean it! Taste and add that is what I do. I typically like my chili hot and thick but last night I decided to change it up a bit.

I used 5 lbs of browned hamburger with a teaspoon of onion flakes. I drained and rinsed my meat and put it back on the fire. I added 2 cans of tomato sauce and 2 cans of water. Now her is the part I don't like but I was out numbered. I added 1 can of chili beans. I don't like the texture of beans but it did add an amazing flavor. I then added 1/4 of a cup of Cain's Chili Powder and garlic salt to taste. 007 said make sure you write down what you put in that one because it is the best one yet. I would have to agree and so did the boys because there wasn't any left.
