When we travel to livestock shows, staying close to the fairgrounds is the number one priority. We have discovered that fairgrounds are usually one of the first things built in a community so the older the fairgrounds the older the community is around the fairgrounds are. Most of the time those communities can be a bit sketchy. Not in this case. We stayed in the Linwood District which in one of Oklahoma City's oldest neighborhoods. What a cute little place! All of the homes are so adorable and we felt super safe.
The house was big. Two stories, two baths, 3 queen beds and a futon. We had two families who stayed so we packed 2 extra blow up beds and there was plenty of space for everyone. It was $81 dollars a day and I could not have even come close to finding a hotel for that. My first choice is and always will be Air B&B.
